Meher Manda is a poet, short story writer, culture critic, and educator from Mumbai, India, currently based in New York City. She earned her MFA in Fiction from the College of New Rochelle, where she was the founding editor-in-chief of The Canopy Review. She is the author of Busted Models, a debut chapbook of poems published by No, Dear Magazine in Fall 2019. Her work has appeared in Epiphany Magazine, Los Angeles Review, Glass Poetry Press, Lumina, and is forthcoming in Hobart Pulp and elsewhere. She is committed to diverse representation in storytelling.

Alison is a musician and sound engineer, currently studying to become an entertainment attorney. She has a deep appreciation for the arts and creativity, and a driving desire to help artists pursue and achieve their creative goals. Within Southern Fried Karma, she assists writers and visual artists through the legal processes of publication in The New Southern Fugitives zine, and produces audio books for SFK Press titles. In whatever work she does, Alison always has the same goal in mind: To spread the gift of creativity.

In 2014, Hayley earned a MSc in Prose Writing from the University of Edinburgh, where she pursued her interest in travel writing and was selected to read her short story “Inheritance” at the Edinburgh City of Literature’s Story Shop at the Edinburgh International Book Festival. Now that she’s back in the States, she publishes regularly with local magazines and blogs and has recently completed her MFA in Fiction. Her thesis manuscript is a novel about a young family in coastal North Carolina who experience significant tragedy.

Mandi Jourdan graduated from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale with a BA in creative writing and a minor in classics, and she is currently in the final year of her MFA studies in SIUC’s fiction program. She is the author of Lacrimosa, Veritas, and the Shadows of the Mind collection, among numerous other publications. She won the Missouri Review’s Miller Audio Prize for Prose in 2019 with her short fiction piece “Inheritance.” The Shadows of the Mind podcast based on her novel series is available on all major audio platforms.
